What is a christian education?

Is education about reading, writing and arithmetic?
Is it about passing ‘A’ levels?
Is it measured by the amount of homework brought home?
In reality, education is much more than this…

EDUCATION IS LIFE

Education is the process whereby a child develops an understanding of, and an ability to relate to the world around him/her. God, as the Creator, is the best source of information regarding ‘all things created in heaven and on earth’.

It therefore follows that in order for children to discover their true place in the home, their community and the world, they must first find their true place with God.

This is Christian Education in the broadest sense and is a process, that once begun correctly, continues throughout life.

A child’s schooling, therefore, must be seen as fundamental to that child’s development. It is vital that schooling recognises and does all in its power to foster and encourage each child’s response to God’s call upon their life, thus fulfilling God’s plan for their life. Children will enjoy ‘good success’ as they grow up, if the education received flows directly from a relationship with God, and if God’s Word is regularly before their eyes and established in their heart.

‘All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.’ John 1:3

The school mission statement:

An extension of the Christian home. God is the only foundation upon which an education of real lasting value can be built.
